Is Dracula a vampire? Is the Pope catholic...Hi Lea,
Is Dracula a vampire? Is the Pope catholic?
Trust me - you don't want Stephanie Meyer for your M author. I thought Twilight was rubbish and though I'm told the subsequent ones weren't quite so bad, I wasn't tempted. But you will be spoiled for choice when you get to M. Here are some ideas:
Mann - The Magic Mountain
McCall Smith - Morality for beautiful women (have to read this because I love the title so much!) or any others
Mailer - Ancient Evenings
Mankell - Chronicler of winds (I've heard he's better than that OTHER Swedish thriller writer!)
Maguire - Wicked
Mitchell - Cloud Atlas
Moorhouse - Grand Days
Marchetta - Looking for Alibrandi
Marsden - Tomorrow, when the war began (I know these are teen fiction authors but their stuff is great).
BradleyFred Bloggs!https://www.blogger.com/profile/10693531934664612728noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6024739580101953923.post-55076412561080766642010-11-19T20:35:03.530+11:002010-11-19T20:35:03.530+11:00I have been meaning to read Dracula for ages - in ...I have been meaning to read Dracula for ages - in my last classic Penguins haul I picked up a copy, but then went with Frankenstein as my Halloween read.

I think Drac is the original - archetypal? - vampire...

Haven't read any others, but adore (adore!) watching Buffy.Injerahttp://www.blahblogblah.comnoreply@blogger.com
